On Friday, March 27, the all purpose room at Lordship Elementary School was transformed into a Western Rodeo. The kindergarten, first, and second grade classes performed for parents, family and friends in an hour long presentation.
Students performed line dancing, stepping to the Texas Two Step and swinging to the do-si-do. This initiative was led by second grade teacher, Carolyn Regensburger, who graciously thanked the other classroom teachers, Jenny Cooper for the artwork, John Pioli for the music and Jillian Grabowski for the dance steps.
These teachers helped students design western art pieces including clothing, desert and animal scenes and paintings of cowboys. Students learned several country songs and the instruction of each of the dances.
